This webinar provides an overview of the GDC’s Application Programming Interface (API), a high-throughput and systematic way to search, download, analyze, and submit GDC data.
This webinar is intended for developers and bioinformaticians who are interested in learning more about the NCI Genomic Data Commons (GDC) application programming interface (API) to use within their applications to query, download, and analyze GDC data or submit data to the GDC.
The GDC Application Programming Interface (API) drives GDC data access, analysis, and submission tools and provides programmatic access to GDC functionality. This webinar will provide an overview of the GDC API and associated endpoints for searching, downloading, analyzing, and submitting data. An interactive demonstration of the GDC API using Jupyter Notebooks will provide template functions and code examples in the Python programming language for users to become familiar with the GDC API. Users will be able to download and edit the GDC API Jupyter Notebook to create custom queries against the GDC API.
