GDC Data Release 46 Adds New Cancer Genomic Datasets

The GDC has released Data Release 46, bringing new genomic and clinical datasets to support cancer research. Highlights of this release include:

  • Whole genome sequencing (WGS) MuTect2 and VarScan2 variant calls from various studies in the Variant Call Format (VCFs)
  • Whole exome sequencing (WXS) variant calls from the Childhood Cancer Data Initiative (CCDI)
  • RNA sequencing data (RNA-Seq) from the Applied Proteogenomics Organizational Learning and Outcomes (APOLLO) breast cancer study
  • RNA-Seq data for cases from the new Participant Engagement and Cancer Genome Sequencing (PE-CGS) Center for Optimization of Participant Engagement for Cancer Characterization (COPECC)
  • 183 cases and DNA, RNA-Seq, and methylation array data for The Clinical Proteomic Tumor Analysis Consortium (CPTAC) Cutaneous Melanoma (CM) Collection
  • Updated annotated MuTect2 VCFs that resolve previously missing chromosomes 10 and 20
