The GDC released Data Release 44 with data from new projects, new cases from existing projects, and more. Key highlights from this release include:
- New CCDI-MCI Project: Whole exome sequencing (WXS) and methylation data from the Childhood Cancer Data Initiative (CCDI) Molecular Characterization Initiative (MCI) (dbGaP phs002790)
- New APOLLO-OV Project: Whole genome sequencing (WGS) and RNA-Seq data for ovarian cancer from the Applied Proteogenomics Organizational Learning and Outcomes (APOLLO) network (dbGaP phs003488)
- New CPTAC-3 Cases: New cases of data from the Clinical Proteomic Tumor Analysis Consortium (CPTAC) including165 new cases of data for gastric cancer
- New HCMI Cases: 168 new cases of data from from the Human Model Cancer Initiative (HCMI) including data from new human organoids
- RNA-Seq and miRNA Aliquots: Aliquots that were previously not released
- Data Migration: Initial changes to migrate gender data to sex at birth, and the remainder of the tumor_purity/ploidy values
- MuTect2 Fix: New Mutect2 data to resolve the issue with missing chromosomes 10 and 20 for some cases which will continue to be released in subsequent releases
